Public Use

For the public sector, using Cornish is something of a challenge. The use of Cornish in street signage, signage, documents and brochures has to be carefully considered.

This section will give examples as the use of Cornish develops, keep you up to date with proposals and projects and contain advice from other areas which incorporate more than one language into their public life.

Whether it’s a few words for a ceremony, summaries of documents, signs or reports, we can either help you directly or point you towards sources of assistance.

We hope that gradually public organisations will think about where there are opportunities to use Cornish in their work and will do as much as possible to assist in that process.
