Language Weekends

An excellent way of immersing yourself in Cornish is to attend a Language Weekend.

There are currently two Language Weekends held a year in Cornwall and occasionally one is also held in America.

The weekends usually take place in a holiday park or a large county house and feature a wide variety of activities from silly party games and improvised plays to guided walks in Cornish around historical places of interest. There is usually also a range of lessons to cater for all levels of ability. Evening entertainment is also provided, and often takes the form of a concert, dancing or group singing session.

At present, these weekends are run by Kowethas an Yeth Kernewek and Agan Tavas. Visit their websites for further information or keep an eye on our  Events page for the dates and venues of upcoming Language Weekends. For details of the weekends held in the USA, visit the website of the Celtic Institute of North America.
