Conferences

Every year the Cornish Language Partnership runs a conference to which guest speakers are invited to speak on relevant themes associated with the development of the Cornish language.

2005

In 2005 the conference brought together speakers from other celtic countries to speak about their own experiences of language development, and to initiate some discussions about ways in which Cornish could move forward.

2006

In 2006 the conference focussed on the beginning of the process towards establishing a single written form of Cornish, and speakers from each of the language forms gave presentations on the historical and theoretical backgrounds of each of the forms.  The full report from the 2006 conference can be downloaded below.

2007

A third conference took place in October 2007 at which the Commission established to work on the Single Written Form process presented their report and recommendations to a full lecture hall.  

The Commission's report is available to download below. A list of abbreviations and website links has been added to the end of the document for clarification and ease of reference.

2009

A conference was held in Lostwithiel in January 2009 which concentrated on reviewing the work to date and discussion over the new Business Plan for 2009-2011.
